Get to know one the widest active volcanic craters with almost 1 mile in width, the Poas volcano. Located just around 20 miles in a straight line from down town San Jose and at an altitude of around 8900 feet, you will be able to see the main crater and the Botos lagoon from a bird’s eye perspective.

On the way up the mountain range you will fly over many coffee plantations that take advantage of the fertile ground.
